
I know everyone wonders why I am posting good healthy drinks, diets, exercise plans and vitamin regiments on FB and Twitter. The reason is that I am controlling and reversing my diabetes and weight naturally and want to share. My new daily routine is no overnight miracle cure but a lifestyle change. Diabetes and Obesity are on an alarming rise in both children and adults; I wish I had known what I know now about nutrition and exercise when I was younger; if I had I am positive I would not have had the weight, diabetes, and other health issues that have plagued me over the years. I am gaining my health and vitality back one day at a time ~ and feeling so much better.
I have written and designed my own excel spreadsheet where I track my daily food intake calories and food groups, the exercises I do; the meds that I still need to take (for now), and any information I feel I need to document. Surprisingly, I have found that if you account for everything you do, you tend to stick to your lifestyle plan and see the results immediately. This not only boosts your self esteem but encourages you throughout the day to keep going. I also am in the process of putting my own experiences the good, the bad, the ugly, into a free ebook form in hopes what I am doing can help others; as well as posting a daily blogs on important issues and topics that have affected me on this website.
I know the skeptics out there are going to say yeah yeah everyone is on the good health diet bandwagon so what else is new. What is new is that I feel better at age 61 than I have felt in years. I have lost 72 pounds and on the way to lose 64 more. I am eating healthy and taking control of my own life and my fight against diabetes. I work out three times a week at our local Y and I walk or do aerobics on the off days. But more importantly I am doing it naturally ~ no diet gimmicks, no diet fads, just good plain healthy eating, and exercise.
I am sharing my experiences with you because I truly am an advocate for the reversal of diabetes and obesity in our country. I am not out to make any money or promote any business, although I do own many. My hope is that just one person might learn some life saving tips on eating healthy, losing weight, reversing their health issues and saving their life as I am.
